Bargain and Sale, 1537, March 6. 28 Henry VIII.

Bargain and sale between Master Thomas Aston, vicar of the parish of Mylton (Kent), on the one part, and Edward Holnest of Tenterden (Kent) in the other party "for three goode lauffully sufficient Keene " to be delivered on St. George's day next, of a piece of land called "Elaryndstowne" containing an estimated 1 1/2 acres of land lying in the parish of Tenterden upon the denne of Elarynden, bounded on the east by the Denne lane, the lands of John Deryng to the south, the lands of the said John Deryng and those of John Hales, "one of the Barons of the King's Exchequer" to the west and the lands of the said John Hales to the north, the piece of land to be delivered to Edward Holnest by the 8th of June next after the date of this indenture; with covenants to deliver the deeds, etcetera. Given on the 6th March, 28 Henry VIII.
